Frequently Asked Questions.

We have gathered together here the questions most asked, if you have one that our list doesn't cover, please don't hesitate to contact us. We are happy to help in any way we can.

-What is a day at Ronn Stern® Paintball Camps like?
Camp begins at 9am with the instructors working directly with the campers in small groups. The instructors teach in their area of expertise, and the campers learn by actually applying the lessons on the field with the instructors guiding them. After the morning sessions, all campers are served a catered lunch at the park. Afternoon sessions begin after the lunch break and continue until 4-4:30pm. On select evenings, "gun tech" and "maintenance" classes are offered at the host hotel. If attending a camp where we stay outdoors, campers also participate in night games.

-Why aren't cell phones allowed at camp?
We are at camp to concetrate on paintball, and our experience has taught us that cell phones provide our campers with huge distractions. Any cell phone brought to camp will be securely held by our staff until camp ends. Campers are encouraged to bring phone cards so they can contact their families in the evenings. Our staff's mobile telephone numbers enable parents to contact us at any time.

-What if I can not meet the resident camper flight travel times?
It is very important that our campers follow the arrival and departure time schedules. This insures that all campers receive the attention they need and enables us to finish camp in a timely and relaxed fashion. If airline flight times deviate from the camp schedule, campers will be responsible for their own transportation to and from the airport.

-What do campers do once they arrive at the airport?
Transportation from the airport is provided. Our staff will already have your flight information and will be at the airport to insure campers transition from airline to camp smoothly.

-Why is there an additional charge for "unattended minor" flight status?
Anytime we must sign for an unattended minor, an additional staff member, and sometimes additional staff vehicle, must travel to the airport and stay with the minor/s. Therefore a $25 per flight fee is required.

-When do I need to provide Ronn Stern® Paintball Camps with my flight arrival time so that you can arrange airport pickup?
This information needs to be passed on to us no later than two weeks prior to camp starting.

-What equipment and gear should campers bring?
After you've registered for camp, we will send a Ronn Stern® Paintball Camps EMAIL Information Package via email (this is why it's important that you supply us with a valid email address during the registration process. Our customers with AOL® email are urged to register using a different email address. AOL® email servers block all our email communications as part of their "better, smarter" email protection software.) The camps email information package contains gear & equipment checklist, traveling guidelines for paintball equipment, hotel and camp contact information, directions to the camps.

-What are your paintball parks and facilities like?
Our camps are hosted at some of the best parks and facilities in the country. Skirmish® and SplatBrothers® are world-class parks and are known for their excellent playing fields and staff. Campers will play and train on some of the very best concept playing fields in the world, with industrial grade compressed air filling stations and available co2 fills. Water stations are posted all over the facilities and campers are supervised to make sure they maintain the proper hydration levels. The parks have a camp store on-site, so campers can buy sodas, snacks, and paintball gear if they wish.

-How do I travel/fly with my paintball gear?
The Ronn Stern® Paintball Camps EMAIL Information Package will contain guidelines for how to ship, pack, or travel with your markers, tanks, and gear.

-What if I shoot more than the 2 cases of Camp paintballs?
We have additional paintballs and supplies available for purchase.

-What is the latest date I can register for camp?
Our registration ends when the camp roster fills to capacity. Our camps have limited openings and waiting to register may prevent you from getting the camp you want.

-Why doesn't my AOL® email address work for registration?
Unfortunately, AOL® blocks all Ronn Stern® Paintball Camps email as "spam". Even with your personal email filters turned off, AOL® blocks our email at their servers. Campers are urged to sign up with a free email service such as Hotmail® to receive our communications. We apologize for this inconvenience but have been unable to have AOL® resolve this issue.

-My child has special diet needs, is diabetic, or will be taking prescription medication; is this all right?
Absolutely. However, special diet needs must be selected during the registration process so that arrangements can be made. We want your child to have the best experience possible.

-Will my camper need extra spending money?
Probably. Although lunch and drinking water (all meals and transportation for resident campers) are provided, your camper will undoubtedly want to purchase sodas, snacks, or paintball memorabilia. We've found that about 50% of our campers also prefer to purchase more paintballs.

-Can I receive information for next year's camp?
Yes, we will place you on our camp mailing list and keep you informed of all our events for our future camps.

-Can I room with a friend as resident campers?
No problem. Simply let us know and we'll take care of the arrangements. You can provide roommate requests during your reservation process or at any time and we will do our best to accommodate.

- Refund Assurance? What is that?
We offer our "Refund Assurance" program for an additional $49. This gives our campers the freedom to change plans should the need arise. Due at the time of registration, Refund Assurance entitles you to a full refund (minus the preparation fee) of camp fees should you cancel your camp registration more than 14 days prior to the first day of camp. If you cancel within 14 days of the start of your session, we will give you a camp credit valid for another camp date in the same calendar year. (Christmas session camper's credit would be good for the following camp year.)

-Written Cancellation
All Camp Cancellations must received and acknowledged in writing and must follow the appropriate cancellation policies.

- Is there a place to do laundry for resident campers?
For our SplatBrothers® Virginia Camp, our host hotel has laundry facilities available. We will be camping outdoors at Skirmish® Pennsylvania and laundry service is not available.

- "Hey Ronn, while my paintballer is at camp, what is there for me to do?"
All of our host states are wonderful spots for tourism and have a wide selection of interesting, close, and fun destinations while your camper is with us. Please choose from our list below to find information on great ways to spend your days:
